Adaptors / Subs

All Ruden adaptors are made from 4140 alloy material. Available thread types and others are available on request.

Recovery Taps

Casing and rod taps are used to recover broken or unscrewed casing and pipe below the collar of the hole. Wireline and casing taps can be ordered with standard wireline box threads so there is no need to use an adaptor or can be ordered with any box thread as required.

Ruden will refurbishes and retips used jaws to original specifications.

Ball Type Pulling Dog (Monkey)

Eliminates the need of a hoisting plug for certain drilling operations. This device permits faster hoisting and easier handling of the drill string. Ideal for one person operation, the ball type pulling dog is strongly recommended when drilling both vertical and angle holes.

Rod Sizes: XRT, EW, AW

Wireline Sizes: A-WL, B-WL, BTW, N-WL, NTW, H-WL

Casing Sizes: BW, NW

Hoisting Plugs

A hoisting plug is a swivel connection used to connect the hoisting cable to the drill rod string. A standard rod box thread in the hoisting plug body takes various sizes of reducing couplings and enables one hoisting plug to be used with different sizes of rods. Ruden offers three different sizes. All hoist plugs are load tested.

Carbide Pipe Wrenches

Carbide pipe wrenches are used on heat treated rods for better gripping force and will last much longer than conventional wrenches. Send us your old hooks and heels and Ruden will install new carbide grippers for you.

Casing Drive Shoes

The casing drive shoe is threaded on to the lower end of the casing string to facilitate the driving of the casing through overburden.

Carbide Casing Shoes

Tungsten carbide coring bits, casing shoes, and rod shoes are used for drilling into overburden, gravel, soils, and other soft soils. They can be ordered in standard sizes, custom sizes, or heavy duty sizes.
